'Freedom is the right to be who you were born to be'
Taking the responsibility to face who we are can be quite challenging in the society we live in. Every single person is unique, therefore we are all different. Isn't it strange to see that differences are not accepted, there is a need to be ‘normal’? We live in such a sheep-like society that being different can be hard to deal with as one can feel at odds with others. A free-spirited person lives entirely in truth with who they are. There is such a unique beauty in them but most people do not understand it. Most people perceive beauty in comparison with something else. It is like trying to paint a blue rose red in the middle of red roses garden to make it even. A blue rose is beautiful blue, why would one want to make it red? People have made beauty a standard whereas true beauty is unique. This is why most people are making themselves ‘ugly’ by trying to fit certain standards; they refuse to let their own beauty shine.
'Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.' Einstein.
When you are a free-spirit, it is hard to deal with at the beginning because you notice that you are different, you notice that you are at odds with other people. At first, it seems that you are not 'normal' that maybe something is wrong with you. But eventually you realize that you are independent and that you are strong enough to see through the controlling aspect of society. You realize that you are not against society but you are instead for the right to be yourself (which sometimes may look like you are a rebel from someone else's perspective.)
What is it to be 'normal' anyway? Isn't it always in comparison with other people?
If you have not discovered it yet, you will learn that the majority of people are not emotionally stable. Therefore, if your reference point is the people surrounding you, then your judgment is flawed.
You are as normal as a human being should be, free and independent. Not conditioned to act like a sheep.
If you can relate to what I am saying and recognize yourself in my words, I think that you are in the right mindset but do not fall into making it a point to be different, do not create an identity out of being independent. Otherwise, you will create an ego, create your own conditioning and you may become against society. Do not be against anything, be pro freedom.
Please do not compromise yourself for the need to fit to society’s standards. It would be such a shame. Claim your right to be yourself, claim your right to freedom.
